What a lovely surprise for your mother. Must be great for so many of you to be together
Ahhh.. snow and amish.. well you WERE in PA. :-) Our next door neighbor. Fun that you got to come up and visit.. and what a wonderful party for your Mom. She looks like a dear. Love the quilt too!
That's soo great! Where were you in PA, I'm about 45 minutes from New Holland and the Amish!!
Thriftin in PA is the best! I didn't realize the party was so big, but I guess when you invite "family" and a family as large as yours/hers... you should expect AT LEAST 50. :)
What a nice blog. Thanks so much for stopping by mine. I'll definitely be back to see more of your quilts. What a nice surprise for your mom.
What a wonderful surprise for you mom!
I would love to go thrifting with the Amish - *hmmmmm* Thrifting With The Amish . . . . sounds like song or something.
What a fun trip that must have been and, yes, sometimes we are just having too much fun for picture taking.
Lovely quilt that you gave your brother. It's no wonder that you got so many requests. You are going to need that young quilter.
Pennsylvania is my homestate, so I was in the Dutch country many times. You look like you had a lovely time. It really reminded me of home so much. Your pics were wonderful!

What a wonderful surprise for you mother! Your quilts are gorgeous.
Lol* I love shopping goodwill for all sorts of things. It's a great place to find vintage fabric too, if you're into that sort of thing. I can't tell you the loads of fabric I've found there.
We see a lot of Amish around our Goodwill's as well! LOL* We live in the heart of Amish country, and it's not uncommon to see them roaming the isles of WalMart in this area either. I remember once I was in line at Big Lots behind an Amish woman, and I couldn't help but look at what she bought - I mean really, you can't tell me you don't wonder what the Amish go shopping for at a Big Lots! Lol* Sshhhh! I noticed among other things she had a Gatoraid. LOL* Wonder if that was for herself or someone else?
Beautiful quilt! Congratulations on finishing it!

How great that you were able to surprise your Mom and visit with family. The quilt is beautiful. And, I see in the photo of your niece that someone is a crocheter, too!! Love your blog.
